Kiran Patel
Executive Vice President and General Manager,
Small Business Group
Kiran Patel is executive vice president and general manager of Intuit's small business group. In this role, he leads the groups that comprise the company's Small Business ecosystem, including the QuickBooks, payroll, payments, and Websites businesses. Together, these groups serve more than 4 million small business and accountant customers, and generated $1.2 billion in revenue in fiscal year 2009.
Before being promoted to his current position in December 2008, Patel served as senior vice president and general manager of Intuit's Consumer Group, responsible for the TurboTax and Quicken product lines. He joined Intuit in September 2005 as senior vice president and chief financial officer, responsible for all financial aspects of the company, including investor relations, supply chain management, the order-to-cash process, procurement and real estate.
Previously, Patel was executive vice president and chief financial officer at Solectron Corp., leading the company's finance, legal, investor relations and business development activities. From October 2000 to May 2001, Patel was the chief financial officer of iMotors, an Internet-based value-added retailer of used cars. Before that, he had a 27-year career with Cummins Inc., serving in various positions in the corporate and operating unit levels, including executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Patel is a certified public accountant (inactive) and holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee.
